If you follow me on Instagram, you may know that I took my first all-inclusive trip to Punta Cana a few weeks ago. Now I’m here to tell you all about my experience!
Where to Stay
Punta Cana Princess All Suite Resort and Spa
This resort was so nice, the staff was very friendly, and it was just a short walk to the beach. Out on the beach they had little canopy beds set up for VIP (somehow I scored VIP by booking with a travel agent) and little palm trees with chairs under them which is what we sat in most of the week because we could move our chairs out in the sun if we wanted or just move it back under the palm tree if not. The pool area was amazing and the whole resort was decorated in statues and had the most beautiful plants and palm trees surrounding it. There is a spa on site and a small little convenient store/ gift shop if you’re a souvenir shopper like myself. There is also two sister resorts that you can enjoy all of their amenities as well. They have a few little shops and boutiques and also have putt putt golf. There is a tram that comes around every thirty minutes or so and picks you up and will take you right over there. Unfortunately, we didn’t realize what all the sister resorts had until the last day we were there so we didn’t really get to take advantage of this, but you definitely should if you book with this resort! The only two complaints I would have are that the seaweed was extremely bad. Both in the water and on the beach. This isn’t the resorts fault though and apparently the seaweed only occurs three weeks out of the year.(of course we would choose one of those weeks lol) the other is that people are constantly coming up to you and asking you to buy something. Both on the beach and inside the resort, which did get a bit irritating. I know our first day we got asked every 10 minutes about purchasing something, whether it be a massage, an excursion, a picture, a hair wrap, etc. It definitely made relaxing hard when there was someone coming up to you so often. But it could be this way at every resort, this was my first time! Over all, we really enjoyed it here and it was a great first experience!

Where to Eat
We definitely took advantage of all the food that was offered! They had several different restaurants to choose from, some of which you could dress casual, but some you were required to dress a bit nicer. They also had a bar with a beautiful view of the beach and swim up bar at the pool.
Some of the restaurants that we went to were:
Mare Nostrum
Attire: Casual
Buffet styled food with mostly the same food items each day for both breakfast and dinner. It had a beautiful view of the ocean if you chose to sit out on the patio, which is where the bar is located. This restaurant was also conveniently located by the pool in case you needed to take a break from sun bathing and grab a quick bite to eat! This is where we ate breakfast most days, mainly because they had a coffee machine. I can’t go without my coffee! One thing they didn’t have was iced coffee and going without it was such a struggle! LOL!
Restaurante Casabe
Attire: Dressy/ Casual
Men must wear sleeves at night*
This restaurant was also buffet style. They had a little bit more options than the first restaurant I mentioned because it is a larger place. Each morning for breakfast they served your usual eggs, french toast, oatmeal, and even smoothies! For dinner they chose a different type of food each night, for example one night was Italian night, One night they had a table set up with all different kinds of sushi (my favorite) and one night was full of Asian food. They really had a little bit of everything. Including some yummy deserts!
Rio Grande Steak House
Attire: Dressy
This restaurant you were required to dress up a little more. Men had to wear sleeves and long pants. This was like your everyday steakhouse. They gave you a menu that you ordered from, brought you chips and salsa and you had servers bring your meals. Unlike the others where you can just get up and get the food yourselves. We enjoyed the food, but I think we both prefer to just go to the buffet and get our own because we can keep going back until we fill up! Lol
El Rodizzio (Brazilian)
Attire: Dressy
On our last night there. We made reservations (which you have to make a few days early) to visit one of the sister resort restaurants. This resort had tons of others to choose from that are also available for you to go to if you choose. The night of your reservations, you go wait in the lobby about 20 minutes before your reservations and someone will come and pick you up. They will then drive you over to the sister resort. Which you could walk if you choose. I just hope you’re better with directions than me and my husband We got lost and had to ask for directions! Haha This was probably my favorite out of all the restaurants. If you’ve never been to a Brazilian steakhouse, I highly recommend it! They can be quite pricey. But definitely worth it. This one was included in our all-inclusive price! I’m so glad we took advantage of this and went. At a Brazilian steakhouse, you go and get your sides and then the waiters/waitresses bring around different kinds of meats for you to try. We really enjoyed it!
This is the bar area by the beach it was gorgeous!

What to do
Okay, so we were kind of boring on this trip and didn’t really leave the resort. lol They have it set up where literally everything you need is in this one resort and you never have to leave it. They did have offer all sorts of activities you could do if you wanted though. Some of the activities that were included in the all-inclusive package were:
•kayaking
•windsurfing
•surfing
•scuba diving
•any non motorized water sports
Some activities that were not included in the all-inclusive package, but are offered at the resort are:
•parasailing
•zip lining
•boat tours
•atv tours
•horseback riding
•spa
So if you’re not like us and activities are a must do on vacation, they definitely do have options for you! The most exciting thing I did on this trip, was probably getting my picture taken with all these adorable creatures! See below⬇️
All in all this trip was amazing and I’m so glad we got the chance to experience it together! Although we didn’t do a lot of activities, we just enjoyed getting away and spending the week together and relaxing. I’ll post more pictures from our trip below!
This pretty much wraps up my all-inclusive trip. I’ve had a lot of people ask me since I’ve been back if all-inclusive is the best way to travel and if you love to eat, drink and you’re not big on doing anything other than relaxing on the beach than I would definitely say yes! What about you guys, do you think all-inclusive is the way to go? Where have you been on your all-inclusive trips? I’d love to hear about them!! Also, if you have any questions about this resort or about this trip in general, don’t hesitate to ask 🙂
I think I would love an all-inclusive trip! I’m all for doing absolutely nothing and just relaxing on the beach 😉 All your photos are beautiful! Glad you had a good time!
Thank you so much! And yes I think you would definitely enjoy it! You literally don’t ever have to leave the resort and you have everything you need!
I love staying at all inclusive resorts especially when it’s a beach resort! It just makes the whole experience so relaxing and you really get to enjoy yourself. Looks like you had an amazing time!
